Food as Care, Connection and Learning
At Little Captains, food is an important part of our daily rhythm and learning environment.
Children are offered fresh fruit each day, homemade yoghurt, and carefully prepared snacks such as baking and biscuits. Our warm lunches are made onsite, offering a rich variety of flavours and ingredients.
We see mealtimes as opportunities for connection — where children gather, share, explore tastes, and develop a sense of belonging. Through food, children experience care, culture, and community in meaningful ways.
Amanda is our dedicated centre cook, with years of experience working in professional kitchens. She prepares fresh, nutritious meals each day with great care and creativity.
